Overview

One enterprise page for role progress and next steps.

The problem

Career paths were invisible outside review cycles.

Inside a company as large as TCS, an employee’s next role can feel invisible — growth conversations happen once a year and mobility lives in scattered HR tools. Few employees can see what roles exist beyond their own, what paths lead there, or how peers actually progressed.

The goals

Make growth visible, personal, and self-serve.

The portal set out to answer three questions for every employee — where have I been, where am I now, and what can I grow into next — by making career paths visible and personal, turning peer success into real inspiration, surfacing roles and streams people didn’t know existed, and staying explorable any day, not just at review time.

The solution

One page that reads a career as a story.

The homepage anchors on a role timeline that reads like a boarding pass: completed designations check off in sequence, the present role sits highlighted in pink, and the roles ahead wait in line. Around it, peer success stories — with an add-your-story slot — and a career-streams rail from Delivery to Domain turn a static HR page into a place to explore, all shipped on a documented 12-column grid for clean engineering handoff.
